" PLATYPUS RETRO " is a Platypus ( 2003 ) mod that reimagines the game as if it was an 8-bit old-school game, inspired by the NES console! This mod contains custom pixelart, 8-bit remixes of Platypus OST, 8-bit sounds, and some slight level modifications!

Note: There are some issues with the mod, mainly some visual ones, like the HUD being buggy and all. Though some simplicity and errors are totally intentional, there are some that are there mainly due to modding limitations. I hope you understand and enjoy the mod anyways! 🙏

Install instructions

👾  To install the mod, first you must have bought Platypus 1.
👾  I personally recommend the Steam version, since it's the one I used.
👾  It is recommended that you make a copy of your original game folder.
👾  Extract Platypus Retro ZIP file, and copy all its folders.
👾  Replace all folders of your Platypus 1 copy with the Retro ones.
👾  That should be all, and you should be ready to play. Have fun!
